About

Together with my family, I have embarked on a journey to build a business and find my spiritual path.  How can those two things co-exist?  Well, for me there are a couple of things I want to try to do.

I grew up in a family business.  A men’s clothing store in Stamford, CT called Frank Martin and Sons.  My sister and I were the fourth generation involved in that business, although our involvement never got further than selling on the floor.  But the point is that it was a focal point of the family and while a difficult business to be in (tell me how many family run men’s clothing stores do you know?), I have very fond memories of it and a sense of loss without it.  So starting a family business enables me to work with my wife, my sister and my brother-in-law.  Will my daugher, son, neice or nephew continue it?  Not likely, but hopefully they will see that there are rewards for having a business that might go beyond money….

And then there is the spiritual path.  Its always been in me, just hidden by all the trimmings of life I guess.  I want to explore Judaism, mix that with yoga and meditation and this business and see what happens.  Its an exciting prospect and one that I am sure will be full of many strange twists.

Thank you for reading and please comment on what you thing often….
